The homes for sale in Las Vegas communities are never far from the best education providers. Most residential communities either have schools within or are very close to public and private schools. The Lake Las Vegas alone has three known schools where residents’ children can go to, each offers different contributions to the local education system. Here are three of Lake Las Vegas’ schools:

Pinecrest Academy

Pinecrest Academy (Cadence branch) is one of the prestigious schools in Las Vegas for young minds. Bearing the Candence Cougars as the school moniker, Pinecrest Academy aims to produce competitive students in different areas of learning. Their school organizations list includes not just the typical math and science clubs—they also have a computer programming club for kids (Coding Club), a business management club, a stop-motion animation club, a film club, a graphic novel club, a French club, and even a robotics club. Imagine middle schoolers and high schoolers who are skilled in computer programming, business management, and robotics at an early age!

Pinecrest Acedemy – Cadence offers kindergarten level, grade school level, middle school level, high school level, and special education.

Lake Mead Christian Academy

Lake Mead Christian Academy (LMCA) focuses on teaching Christian living among its students just as much as it focuses on academics. LMCA has been encouraging students to incorporate spirituality in their academic life ever since the school was founded in 1989. Although they seem to be more concentrated on student counseling, they offer enrichment classes to grade school students who wish to learn more in areas like Spanish language, art, and music.

LMCA offers K-12 levels and is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International.

Josh Stevens Elementary School

Josh Stevens Elementary School is more of a foundation than an academic institution. The Clark County School District (CCSD) named one of their schools after student Josh Stevens and after the Josh Stevens Foundation, which was created by his family after his death. Josh Stevens was a beloved 12-year old CCSD student who died in a tragic accident. Because Stevens was known among his family and friends as a loving child and peer, his family founded the Josh Stevens Foundation in his memory and to inspire kindness among children. The said foundation serves more than 115 schools within CCSD alone.

Josh Stevens Elementary School’s curriculum follows the Nevada Academic Content Standard to produce not only compassionate young citizens, but as well as brilliant students.
